With this simple mechanic, you'll journey through engaging areas in different game modes. 'Levels' is where you go through regular levels, initially 65 of them. 'Marathon', as the name implies, are special levels with enormous sizes. This is where you'll test your skills to it's limits through 3 specially designed levels. Besiege die gegnerische Burg auf der anderen Seite des Berges! - Singleplayer gegen 7 verschiedene Computergegner in Stärken - Hotseat-Multiplayer am selben Gerät - Grafik und Sound wie vor 25 Jahren am Atari ST Ballerburg ist der Beweis dafür, dass die einfachsten Spielideen die besten sind. Die Zutaten: Zwei Burgen, ein Berg – und Kanonen. Es geht darum, die gegnerische Burg zu besiegen, indem man den König abschießt. Bei jedem Schuss sind also der Abschusswinkel und die Menge des eingesetzten Schießpulvers genau zu bedenken. Das allein wäre noch keine Herausforderung – daher wird das Spiel erschwert durch andauernd wechselnde Windverhältnisse und die Tatsache, dass das Schießpulver begrenzt ist und zerstörte Kanonen und Mauern wiederhergestellt werden müssen. Da kommt das Volk ins Spiel: Das bringt nämlich Geld in die Kassen des Königreichs, indem es Steuern zahlt. Wenn man die Steuern erhöht, kann man mehr Geld in die Artillerie stecken. Aber auch hierbei ist Grips gefragt: Denn die Bürger verlassen bei zu hohen Steuern einfach das Land ... Ab jetzt können können nicht nur jene, die schon vor Jahrzehnten dem Ballerei-Spaß verfallen sind, Ballerburg auf ihren iPhones weiterspielen – ohne ihre alten Ataris hervorkramen zu müssen.
